I have a new address! I'm movin uphill to be near my sister. (West Virginia)
The good news:
The rent is only $375.00 / month!
...just outside of city limits so no sign permits or limitations...
...all day traffic comin in from 5 different counties...
...(paint and body type) clear guys available at the drop of a hat...
...includes an overhead apartment (3 bedroom, etc)...
...Jenny can go to best school in the county...
...the "small" room on the shop is 20' x 50' and will be the "easel" room (for art classes as well as delicate design work, etc.)...
...the garage has a ginormous door on it, and I also get a strip of property for big rigs to park whilst I work my magic on them too!
I was pleasantly surprised to check my email earlier today and find that I'm gettin requests for work as a result of my website!
I called home to tell of the good news and found I have clients jumping up and down in apprehension of my return so I'll get some work done for them before I leave town.
Woo hoo!
...the bad news is that I miss my ergonomic keyboard, as I'm using my sister's computer till I get back with the truck.
I think I can deal...hehehe.
I done yawl proud though! I attended a Brothers of the Wheel rally (Mercer County Chapter) saturday night and was sporting a freshly painted banner on my booth at the Athens Town Social the next day whilst painting children's faces. I'm being well received by town folk here and it feels absolutely fabulous. I took a leap of faith here and WOW!
(Adrienne, I hope you're having as much fun in your new digs as I am!!!!!!)
Well, I'm off to purchase some appliances for the new place and order a local phone line to be hooked up, when I know what it is I'll post it.
I'm keeping the cell phone number and am changing the account this month to include free long distance and no roaming charges all over the country. Those $600 phone bills get cumbersom ha ha ha.
I'm also going to be designing masonry signage as well as handlettering, pinstriping, etc. Ten years back there was one sign shop barely surviving in these parts, now there are three and they are humpin around the clock.
I can't tell yawl how excited I am to be back in my mountains! My mind and my heart are reeling, but I've got to get back and pack, school starts in a couple of weeks here and I've got more work than I can organize already, in both places even!
Wish me well and I'll get back on here soon, prolly tomorrow morning.
I've made arrangements to put together a meet here next year and it's on, just have to tweak out the details, but would love to see it happen!
S'anyway, I hope all of you have a flawless day and Dan Swatsky, you've got competition on the bliss-o-meter!
PS - I peeked in on the portfolio page and Amy, Jeffrey, et all, fabulous work being shown! I'm impressed!

Cheryl, that's too funny, I've never been to Seattle. Seriously though, my veins were bred here and it's cool enough for me to grow my hair back out during menopause hehehe...without shooting anybody LOL. Oh and when you see Joey, tell him at the end of my day, I get to sit on the river and just mutter thank you to Great Spirit over and over! (but that, no, I ain't beatin my delicates on a rock to wash em ha ha ha!)

Oh WOW! More happy replies! Thanks guys, it feels so good to see kind words with my name tangled up in em!
Troy, I have been so blissed out the town folk here have threatened to duct tape cinder blocks to my feet to keep me grounded LOL. The furniture and boxes should do the trick LOL. I've been worried about ya Troy, I hope you're in good health!
Shep,
I know where your exit is! Hehehe...when I shot up-hill through there last, it was two friday nights ago and the south bound traffic was backed up in a stand still for miles...plumb over to the other side of the mtn! See if you can convince the town folk not to let any trucks overturn tonight when I run through! LOL.
I would love to attend your class Shep, however I got a big truck to load / unload and money to make...winter is comin on. I didn't think you'd have any openings left! I have applied for real jobs to tide me over in case this winter isn't as glamorous as I hope financially. Setting up in a new place takes a lot of moolah LOL. I may end up having to be responsible and stuff for a while, as opposed to the carefree road signie I've been lately LOL.
I still haven't lost my drawl...I can't bring myself to leave it behind hehehe.
PS - Shep, the signature you have is kewl, and my music thunders LOL...Adrienne, I love your sig too, travelling light definitely has it's advantages!!!!!!!

Guess what guys, it only got better after that! I may be involved with the art classes at a level I only dreamed of. I use to volunteer with an anti-child abuse organization, teaching what I called, "safe diaries" to children in precarious home settings. Looks like I may get to build a really big and kewl thing here. I shall be presented to a quite a few folks when I get back up-hill. Cross your fingers!
My sister is happy, my niece is due in November. I have stepped over a lot of physical ailments and done it in a graceful and joyous manner.
Woo hoo!
It's sooo good to be going home again!
Shep, I waved from the top of the mountain this morning! Where were you? LOL!

the phone number up there will be (304) 425-5552.
I may drop the cell phone, there aren't many places I can use it, they drop me hahaha...not many signals happenin up that way. We'll see.
Oh Si, meant to tell ya, but didn't catch you on chat last night, I did that stroll you mentioned and now the short leg is the same length as the one that used to be too long, ha ha ha!
