Also known as pad printing. Just wondering if anyone here knew anything about it, or had experience with it? Been searching the web, and found quite a bit of info on equipment but not on the process itself, or it's limitations. Have a decent opportunity to get a contract with a die-cast collectible company, doing all of their graphics, but want to learn as much as I can before I make an investment in the equipment. Any help or info is greatly appreciated.

Try "Press-A-Print". Their web address is www.pressaprint.com

I met with a guy who does this and he's making a mint. He does all the small jobs that the big boys don't want. I was seriously thinking of doing it but my financial situation changed quickly so I couldn't afford to do it after all.

If someone wants 10 or 50 key chains, mugs, etc., you can print them easily. You order the blanks from them at cost. You don't have to order 100 cases. He makes a bunch of money from car clubs. They only have 5-20 members but he can print their logos, etc. on anything. For sample purposes he printed a logo on a walnut. I couldn't believe the crisp quality. The ink went into the tiny grooves of the shell. Amazing, you could read text that was about 6-8 point. Good luck!
