LETS BE REAL ABOUT THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ALL I ASKED FOR WAS A STINKING BRIDGE! I DIDNT ASK FOR ANY ONE KIND BRIDGE !!!
JUST A BRIDGE !!!!!!!!!!!

AND ALL I GOT WAS A BUNCH OF CRAPP !!!!!!!!

YOU ALL ACT LIKE 3 YEAR OLDS .... ( NO YOU CANT HAVE THAT IT'S MINE)

NOW WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD PRESS CHARGES ON SOMETHING LIKE THAT !!!
I UNDERSTAND THAT SOME THINGS WOULD BE AND ISSUE LIKE ( CALVIN)
OR NASCAR AND THINGS OF THAT SORT THINGS THAT WERE DRAWN UP BY SOME ONE PERSON !!

BUT COME ON PEOPLE PUT THE CRYING TOWLES DOWN WE ALL ARE IN THE SIGN
BIZ.. FOR THE SAME REASON TO MAKE MONEY !! BICKERING OVER LITTLE THINGS IS STUPID! AND I AGREE WITH WHAT EVER HIS NAME ON THE OTHER POST ABOUT
CLIPART IF YOU WANT TO SHARE A CLIP DO IT VIA EMAIL NOT ON LETTER HEAD!
THIS WAY IF NO ONE KNOWS NO ONE CAN CARE!!

I GUESS IM JUST TO EASY GOING IF A SHOP DOWN THE ROAD OR WHERE EVER
CALLED AND ASK IF I HAD CLIPART OF A COMPUTER AND I DID I AM SURE I WOULD
GIVE HIM A COPY KNOWING THAT DOWN THE ROAD I MAY NEED A CLIPART OF SOMETHING AND GET IT IN RETURN !!!!!

Glen
first let me state, that I missed the hoopla, i have no recolection of your past post, but it looks like you got a lot more than you asked for.

Just a thought, first let me ask can you draw? if yes wouldn't it have faster to sketch a bridge?

Sometimes we think we need to do things the computer way insted of the computer doing things our way.

bridges aren't THAT hard to draw!

Hey just a thought!

GLENN, ITS THE LETTERHEAD WAY !

ITS ALRIGHT FOR A LETTERHEAD TO TAKE A LETTERING STYLE FROM HAND LETTERERS IN NEW JERSEY AND PUT THEM INTO A CD BUT NOT CORRECT TO USE THOSE STYLES IN VINYL IF YOU HAVEN'T BOUGHT THE CD.

GUESS ITS ALRIGHT TO DO WHATEVER IT IS AS LONG AS YOU HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE TO GET IT DONE!

Hahahaha........

Ya took the words right oughta my mouth Joey....

But I don't think it's the "Letterhead" way......Seems more like the "Letterville" way.... [Wink] After all this place is simply a BB on a web-site.

Too much worrying about one little thing or the other, and not enough emphisis on just givin some guy a hand, without a bunch of crap about it......(Unless of course you're an "established" resident here ) [Smile]

Certainly don't have these problems at meets !!
Of course most meets seem to center on "Brush Work", and sharing "WHATEVER" knowledge folks have......

This whole clipart issue lately has gotten to be so silly it is INSANE. Like who is so perfect who has NEVER shared any one little piece of clipart? When you look at the sign magazines, many of us use ideas from them. Hate to break it to you, but your signs are not always as original as you may think. We get many ideas from many places. Silly clipart is simply that. Silly. I love Mike Jacksons CD's and the Butler Gold Collections. Yep these have taken a long time to make, and like I have said before, I hold these collections very near and dear to my heart. But enough already about the silly clipart issue!!!!!

sheesh

When I was in my late teens I discovered something that really made my bell ring. I connected with signs and lettering and the breed of folks that worked sign shops. I loved it. That has not stopped. I well designed sign can arrest my attention and draw comments about the details every bit as fast as it ever did. I'm pleased to be able to provide for my family by doing this. I do it because I love it and the $$$ is secondary. So, I differ with you regarding your comment "PUT THE CRYING TOWLES DOWN WE ALL ARE IN THE SIGN
BIZ.. FOR THE SAME REASON TO MAKE MONEY !!"

These comments might have some connection to clip art, but I can't find it yet, but I do hope you find something you love.

I recently searched all of my clipart (Corel & VMP) for a decent palm tree to use in a sign design. I ended up drawing one in pencil, then I used a black marker, scanned, traced, and with some node editting I had exactly what I wanted, a realistic looking coconut palm. Not some stupid clipart graphic.

I think it took less time to do the palm tree myself than it took to search all of my clipart.

Why ask busy fellow signmakers to look through their files and send it to you?

If you are not capable of creating it yourself, then you will have to invest in a variety of clipart programs.
Cheers
