My wife received these in an email from her Brother-In-Law and forwarded them on to me. I don't know the story behind these (does anyone here have more info?)
I thought I knew about a thousand people who just had to see these!
This chopper is flying in Afghanistan right now.

I'm one of the thousand, thanks Mark, that's some pretty heavy art work and creative concept for the chopper. At first I thought I wonder if they wrapped it. More than likely it's painted. Either way it's a good one!

It's not American, wonder what countries army it is from? It sortta looks like a Russian HIND helicopter but I thought they were bigger than that. It is cool though.

Yep, it's a Russian HIND helicopter. They sold those suckers to everybody out there so no telling whose it is. Heres a pix of one not duded up...
That thing is one mean mutha. It is like a flying arsenal, lots of firepower. That's what the AL Quida and the Taliban get when they mess with us, all of our firepower and lots of our buddies too!

It gives a whole new meaning to "a scary bird" i wonder if this is for camoflauge usage or just for display purposes, or to mess with minds? there has to be a method to the madness of anyone who spends that much to modify that expensive of a helicopter.

It is a great paint job but it's also another one of those internet hoaxes. It's not ours, it wasn't painted by "our troops" and it's not in Afganistan. Mr. Thompson is correct. It's a MI-24D HIND. It's made in Russia and the only ones in U.S. possession (3) were captured. None are flown by the U.S. in combat. This one belongs to Hungary and was painted for an air show. Still a great paint job though.

Just as a follow up, I think I found the source of the hoax photos and a darn good model maker. http://209.133.73.86/Fea/0001-1000/Fea_301-400/Fea321-330/Fea326_Hind_Cladingboel/Fea326.htm One other thing to look for in the photo is the insignia of the Hungarian Air Force just below the tail rotor. (Ooops!) The one thing I haven't been able to find out is who painted this darn thing! It's still an awesome paint job.
