Just a word on this pat(on the back) for Pat from Pat. I plan to do quite a bit of watching over Mr. King's shoulder at the Coupe du Main. I got some questions for him too.

How many times have I seen that scene? I remember Ducky spending much of a meet weekend in Commerce teaching Cheryl Lucas how to paint her name with a brush...the last day, I saw her name on the meet banner, and it gave me a smile and a tear to see that.
At Duck Soup, one of my best memories wasn't winning the cool fridge, but was George Perkins teaching me the basics of pinstriping.
I've been to alot of meets, and have a similar memory that I've taken home from every one.
If there's any way on God's green earth that I can come up with enough money to make it to Kathy and RT's meet...you can bet your last dollar I'll be there!

I remember that. I tried the ole lettering thing at Duck Soup. George Perkins told me that was one of the best first strokes he had ever seen. It was all down hill from there!!!
Hopefully one day I'll get to teach myself some more. I still have the alphabet panel George.
Pat King, send me a picture of your roll around things that you put the banners on to paint. I could use one of those.

I'm sure more dopey picts of me like that will be posted after Letterheads on Mars. That's August 22, 23, 24 in Mars, Pa for all those living in a cave.
Thank you Nev for posting that, I haven't looked at my picts lately and it made me smile to remember Pat's meet and all the fun and learning and friends and OP abuse there. And thanks to all those (especially Pat) that tried to help me, I'm still beyond hope, but I'm trying.
I have my panel too. I have it hanging on my work area wall. Have I thanked you lately George?
See ya all in Mars. Remember my earlier post.... for one day, on Mars, I will be partially nekkid. yup, me going hatless.

Amy, what's really cool....i mean REALLY cool...about Letterheads is that one day it could very well be true that YOU will be teachin some newby how to pull that first stripe!
Letterheads teaching and learning seems to work like a set of dominoes...except for instead of knockin each other down, we're knockin each other UP!
