My Wife and Sister are organizing a fundraiser for a little four-year-old girl in our community. She had to have both kidneys removed and is on dialysis. A donor has been found but insurance will not pay for his surgery which will be in excess of 50,000.
Most of the local radio and TV stations will be involved in announcing the fundraiser which will include an auction, yardsale, pony rides, dunking booth, etc. Too many things to mention. Many local business have donated money and lots of merchandise as well.
My Sister had a few thousand fliers printed with Anna's picture as well as a summary of the situation and included the bank account# and listed my wife's and her as contacts. A friend of ours found one of the fliers yesterday, in a nearby town, which had been altered so that the original contact's names/numbers were obliterated and hers/or his was substituted in it's place. The child's mother called the person to find out what was going on and the person told her that she was going to call but hadn't gotten around to it yet. She also informed her that she had 48 hours to contact us or she was going to the police. Have you ever heard of anyone doing this?

Opportunists seem to come out of the woowork in these times that we live in. If you can't sort them out yourself, (if your big muscled friends with a big stick can catch them that is) then the police should be involved and a hefty spell in the cooler should do the trick. Makes you feel sick that healthy people can do these things to their fellow human beings. Go to the media and show them up. You and your family keep up the good work Wayne

Some people need a good dose of vigilante justice. That is sickening. I'll say a prayer for that poor little girl...The snakes should be thrown in front of a train.

Usually the first stop on a fundraiser like this is with the local sheriff. With the permit, if anyone pulled that, the sheriff would tend to feel a bit put out
