It seems to me that the Signwrighters Pricing Guide 2001 is way too high for cut out gold leaf letters. It dosn't have 1" HDU cut out pricing. I need to price 24" Garamond style letters and gold leaf them. The price guide for 1" plywood is about $126 plus $216 for the gold! I know how long it takes, that seem way too high.

John...how long does it take?? Serif letters are lots of work! Are they gonna be flat cut-out, rounded or chisel?

And on 24" letters, you are going to use the best part of a book!

El Cajon is not noted to be a poverty pocket....why leave $$ on the table? Remember: quality and inage cost $$ !

John, I'd think around $130 per letter.

How are you feeling? Regards to Nita.

I think that the number of letters, and which characters are to be used will greatly impact the selling price. ("I"s vs. "W"s).

With all that's involved, (sales, transfer pattern, cut out, shape, sand, double prime, sand, paint, size, gild, and possibly more) I'm inclined to lean more toward the book on this one.
