I just had my high school reunion. We made a CD for everyone with all the old songs from the 70's. A great time was had by all....the songs were nice...........ya know...raindrops keep fallin .....hitchin a ride ........I feel the earth move .....But geez....it is NOW time to . . . Bring on the ROCK n ROLL! AC/DC SHOT of LOOOOOVE!! . . . I can't get enough of that song, & anybody who can sit still during that song has a serious problem. What songs do you like that make you get up and GO?!

I've always been partial to AC/DC's Thunderstruck but for toe tappin get up and dance and jump around music I favor a little obscure band called Donna the Buffa lo. They get almost no airplay and are constantly touring with a near cultlike following, kind of Grateful Dead like. Their music is what I refer to as heavy hyphenated They play a mix of country/folk/bluegrass/rock/zydeco/ragaee. The mix has an unbelieveable lively beat. They use guitars, bass, steel guitars, organ, synthesizer, drums, bass, fiddle, acordian and more. Definately "happy" music. To be able to sit still through this stuff is impossible.

Hey girls...save me a cup!!!! There's a distinct possibility that we may be moving to Seattle and if it happens, it will be sooner rather than later. I'll keep you posted.

Well, they don't have to worry about me Bob, I make my living with a big knife instead of a brush. I'm simply the keeper of a flame.

The Scofflaws - Record of Convictions: A ska band from my neck of the woods. (Ska music is like fast reggae with smokin' horns and is guaranteed to put a big ol' smile on your face). These guys have funny "beer n' babes" lyrics, too.
Rhapsody - (any of 4 albums): This band is from Italy and is described as "epic Hollywood fantasy metal." Imagine speed metal mixed with classical elements like choirs, orchestras, medieval instruments, etc., and without the usual angry/mopey/whiney persona. Cheesy, bombastic, over-the-top and utterly beyond belief!!

With me, it all started with the blues and classical which my dad piped through the house on intercoms growing up, then life got hectic with pop, jazz, rock (a to z on many types), and needed a break from all the hustle bustle of life,,,, thought I would never like bluegrass and celtic, but life takes us many strange places! (here's to the more simple pace of life!) Give me a fiddle anytime in a field of green grass!

I have a High School Reunion coming up in September. Perhaps they'll play the popular air of our time = The Minuet. I think those of us who remember how can do that one in our walkers...
