Hey Ken New york is a huge state, you need to give us a bit more info or maybe your phone number. i already did one sign job in NY and didnt mind traveling to do it, so maybe I might be interested in this one too depending upon the specifics.

Sorry, I thought everyone would understand New York means New York, Rochester or Syracuse would have been, if I meant Rochester or Syracuse. Anyway, yes, New York City. I have the layout for the sign, so it should be pretty easy to do.

Ken, is the sign painted MDO, vinyl on metal, handcarved HDU or painted on the side of the building 20 feet off the ground ???? The reason I ask is that I just bid on a carved HDU sign for a NYC veterinary clinic that is 22" high and 18 feet long.

I guess that Ken is a whole lot smarter than us, because, gee whiz, when someone says New York, they have to mean New York City... I mean if I said I was going to New York, ol' Ken would just know right off that I had to have nmeant NYC and not the state... Gee, Harris... didn't they teach you nuttin' in Joisey... LOL!
I think Ken's West Palm rests a rest...
Have a great one, Harris! (I am making your panel this week... I swear! On my Bible. Honest)

Well guys, in respect, you have to excuse me. I am originally from Rochester, and when we heard someone was going to New York, we knew exactly what they meant. Now being down here in Florida, I guess I still have the same thoughts. Instead of a gussing game going on here, let me give you guys all of the information that you need and maybe if someone reads it, they might be close enough to go do the job. She saw the sign that she wants on my webpage and wants one just like it. Here is what she says:
Hi, I have the measurement and it is 4 ft x 13 ft. The space has light bulbs built in so I would like to know the depth of the sign and what fabric is it made from. I would like the address put on the sign as 259 E 167. On one end I would like the word Mixican and the next end I would like the word Caribbean. And if possible the phone number 718-401-0868. I have a few questions if you could please give me a call at 718-538-0482, I have call forwarding so I can always be reached. Thank you Cecilia
Ok guys, that's it! If someone reads this and wants to do the job, give her a call. If you need a picture of the drawing, I will be happy to forward to whom ever needs it.

Bruce, don't blame Ken for that perception of New York meaning NYC. That is the way media advertising displays the situation. The perception is worse internationally. In my travels, I found that an American is either from New York, Los Angeles, Miami or must be from Texas.

well, although the address is 259 E 167 the phone number area code is 718. Since there are 5 boroughs, Manhattan, Staten Island, Brooklyn, Bronx and Queens. In Manhattan which is considered NYC, the area code is 212 as with some of Brooklyn, the Bronx and Staten Island as well sharing the area code, which brings us to the area code 718. 718 is the area code for Queens, so the sign will be in Queens rather then NYC. now in Queens, there are alot of different areas which have different names and streets so the 259 which is the street address is on East 167th. street somewhere in Queens and not NYC!

Comon you guys, give me a break, you are going to make me think twice before I get on here to give someone else the work. I typed what she sent to me. If it's the Bronx or Queens or whatever, that is New York to me. I am sure if a guy has a Shop in New York, he will go to the Bronx or Queens for a job. If you want to see the sign that she wants, you can view it at www.signsgo.com it is on the front page. Ok, that is it. Won't bother you again. Ken
