I have a customer who wants 60 sandblasted wood door #'s for his new hotel up north. They'll be about 4" x 6". I've made hundreds of blasted signs, but never an ada blasted sign. any ideas on how to get a brail insert under the #, and were could I get them? Thanx

It's very difficult if not impossible to make "compliant" sandblasted door numbers, plus if you do not have the translation software you might be typing out gibberish to the one reading it in braille, for instance to make the number 123 you have to type in #abc to read correctly in grade 2 braille in the most popular braille software. I suggest maybe a sandblasted backer panel and an acrylic ADA panel attached to it with compliant raised beveled letters and rounded braille dots. For info on ADA and signage you might try Sharon Toji at 310.323.5210. Rick

Thanx Rick. I figured I would have to attach a plastic brail # & dot plate. I just have to find a good source for the plate. Are there any letterville merchants?
