Go to this site, and do the free trial. Its fairly simple to do. What it boils down to is a globe, and you can spin it, and then you can zoom in to any place in the world and see satelite images of your town, or any place you want to go. You can also flatten it out and go cross country, like if you were in an airplane! It shows the names of towns, waterways, etc. as you fly over them. Beware if you go to New York City though, the images are rather freaky, as you zoom in on Manhatan, you can see smoke, and as you get closer you can see where the WTC was. Actually it shows an amazing view of the devistation........

Hey thanks Dave, I logged on right when you posted, but the dang password ID thingy they say to check email immediately didn't arrive till the next day, Then I recieved it at work but couldn't retrieve it at home (where I downloaded the program. Anyway I finally got it open & yeah it is pretty cool. I've only played around for a few minutes so far, but checked out Maui & NYC ground zero.
I was wondering what is up with the swirl of clouds in front of everything? is that stuck there to remind me that I didn't pay yet? It is right in the way of everything, so I hope there is a way to delete it.

hahahaha............I'm afraid the only way to remove it is to pay the $599.00...OUCH! when you get to play for a while, check out the slide control that lets you flatten out the image. Its like flying in a plane over the area you are looking at. Also, check out this site!....more satellite stuff. www.spaceimaging.com/level2/level2gallery.htm

Damn Dave your up late in Illinois. Yeah I've been playing with it a while now. Checked out my old neighborhood in Hoffman Estates Illinois. Tilted the view & flew down to my elementary school, over to Jr. High & on up to high school before checking out the mall. Amazing! Keyhole's website says they have a software that you can monitor actual flights in real time with current weather pattern overlays. I'll go check out your other link now.
