A few weeks back, Barb and I drove down to a bar in Guelph, Ontario to hear a band called Biscuit Puppy. The drummer in the band is Mike Holtzy from Cambridge Canvas , a Letterville Merchant located in Cambridge, Ontario.
One of our goals here in Letterville is to try and put a face on our Merchants. During our 25 years running a sign shop, we did business with many various suppliers, sometimes via a personal visit by a rep, but often by phone.
To many of us, these large corporations are giant, faceless machines. We're finally learning that many of these "suits" are real people with real lives just like the rest of us.
Mike Holtzy is no stranger to those in the sign business here in Southern Ontario. I can remember him wandering into our shop 20 years ago. When someone thinks of Cambridge Canvas, Mike's smiling face immediately comes to mind.
We want to take this opportunity to thank Mike and Cambridge Canvas for their generous contribution to our Monthly Resident Draw . If you have won the 24 yard roll of Banana/Bandanna banner, this is where it came from.
I want to accomplish 2 things with this post. Share some photos of Mike and his band with all of you and invite Mike to tell us more about himself, his family and his career with Cambridge Canvas up to this point.
Feel free to tell us what your company offers, as well as the area you service. If this works, we may include a post such as this on a more regular basis. Might even call it Merchant Of The Week.

Another word about Mike Holtzy, generous! The Fed Ex truck stopped by and delivered door prizes, brochures and samples for our meet from Cambridge Canvas!
