We still use our reliable ol' Gerber 4B for cutting out sandblast resist. We tried to use it today and got this error message: waiting for CTS.

I've reinstalled the drivers, the software (SignLab), plugged-and-unplugged all of the connections and tried it on another computer.

The 4B still works as a stand-alone system so I think my Fastboard got fried.

Has this happened to anyone here and does anyone have a fastboard for sale?

Thanks...

Pat,
Did you see this posted by Mike McCloud in the classifieds:

Gerber Signmaker 4-B with an LMK link to run it from Gerber Graphics Advantage or Omega software. Has a bunch of fonts so it can run as a standalone composer/plotter. Excellant condition w/original shipping boxs also in excellant condition. Also have another 4/B with lots of fonts and a Cadlink Fastboard to run it from Signlab software. Either one, $1000. A great value and real workhorses.

Thanks Judy! - I spoke with Mike...

Lucky me (?) - CadLink actually will replace the board for $ 150.00 once I send in mine.

Not too bad.

CTS error is related to the serial communication.

Have you check the cable ? The communication setup of the computer ?
