Ha ha funny Dave! Notice how cheesey some customers can be, high bid $19.00. Poor guy can't even get his 20 bucks! Maybe he plans on repeat customers, notice he didn't round the corners? And I wonder why folks look at me and ask "Ooooh, that much?"

I've seen them that cheap at a flea market, never saw the guy there again, rckon he may have figured it out. Hardly anybody rounds the corners in my area even if they get $85 for a set. I don't get it, almost every distributor has a notice saying to make sure to round the corners on magnetics. Is it lazyness or cheapness? I don't have a corner rounding machine but I do have a corner rounder template and it works just fine.

I think that is a good way to tell a "Vinyl Jockey" from a signmaker. To see if he is pushing logos like Harley and such as his main gig or if he is selling signs. I saw a shop the other day with a big aluminum board and about 50 logos on it about 4"-6" each; Browning, Chevy, Ford, Dodge, Harley, Bugs Bunny, Dodge Rams, Clemson Tiger paws and so on... At the top of the board was this "We make all of these stickers and more...". He said he was a sign shop but looks to me as if he doesn't have a clue! Another kid that got a machine for Christmas and still lives with mommy and daddy. Only thing is they sell magnetics and signs too. It makes all the folks who are serious about it and have to make a living doing it, have to try and work around the fly by night image they are creating for the signmaking industry!

If you are looking for a corner rounder...go to your local craft store...in the scrapbooking section look for paper punches.....you can get them as corner rounders....works great on magnetic sheeting..This is kinda what they look like.

Not always. I had made a 12x18 "Porsche parking only" sign with the Porsche crest for a friend of mine a while back. He had it on the wall in his garage. He sold the Porsche and so decided to try to get rid of the sign on Ebay. Within 6 hours of listing the item he received a formal email from Porsche of America to remove the listing immediately. They said it wasn't in their catalog of licensed items.

here is the e-mail response back from the $20 magnetic maker:
Its the bannanas for $.29 techinique, Its really just to get them to be interested in the products and to get them to contact me. Half of the business I do online is because of the price of the auction, they will see im the lowest and contact me. After they contact me I say they can order them dirrect (costs more) then if they want upgrades I usually make it up there. So in the end its just selling in volume to make the money.
