I’ve arranged just about everything for attending the Mars meet………..but I just got to thinking. Am I going to have trouble entering the US.
I’ll be traveling to the States via Canada, my home. However, I am not a Canadian Citizen even though I’ve lived in Canada all my life, with the exception of the first two months. I have my Landed Immigrant papers and hold a valid British passport.
I called the US Embassy here in Ottawa, but I just got this long-winded recording. I visited the web site, and still I can’t be sure that the documentation I have will suffice.
So, does anyone know for sure, whether these documents are good enough. Will I need a visa?

John...If you hold a valid British passport, that is all you need. No visa needed for a long weekend.

I'm with Si on this one, that's how Arabs are still managing to enter this country.. they pay the people that know how to sneak in, to sneak them in!

Along with your British Passport, you might ALSO be required to show at least 1 other piece of Identification WITH a photograph...ie: Driver's licence, Health card or something similar. Not all US immigration officers will ask for this , but some will. Best to be well prepared.

You would normally only have trouble getting in if you were a returning American citizen. Slow down and make sure you don't get one of the women agents at the boarder crossing. They usually demand a full body cavity search by 'Helga from the ballbearing factory' then execution prior to entry.
