I have a sign with latex paint and Oracal 751. I've read that Oracal isn't the same as other vinyls. Does it take UV clear ok? I have both 1Shot and Frog Juice; does one work better for this application than the other? Thanks for the help.

I've used both of those clears on Oracal. The only thing I noticed was that they take longer to dry.

Thanks, Bruce! This is the first time I've used Oracal, and wanted to make sure they were compatible.

Eric,
One Shot and Frog Juice both work well as a clearcoat on Oracal but we don't recommend applying vinyl to Latex paints. Latex has a tendency to release gases and oils to the surface for a long time and is generally incompatible with vinyls from any manufacturer. If you absolutely have to use Latex let it cure as long as possible (min. 3 weeks recommended) and clean the surface well.

P.S. I'd love to hear from anybody about their results with Latex paints.
