Well, If I had an Edge it would have taken moments, but I don't and wanted to try to figgure it out. I needed to make some vinyl decals. Thin black outline around this "brand" with flames coming off it. Centers airbrushed.

I drew it all on the screen with a box around it. Loaded the black sticky back. Sent the box with the outside contour selected to the cutter and had the blade return to the starting point.

I pushed the button for that starting point to be remembered and reeled out the black and laid some app tape on it covering the part I just cut. I pushed the button to get it to go back to the starting point, and by golly, it did! I adjusted the down pressure with some previous experimentation to cut the app tape and not the vinyl, and dialed in that setting. I then selected the box and the inside contour and told the machine to cut it and go back to point of origin again.

Next, I put in the pen and drew the whole shebang, to make it easy for my tired eyes.

I removed the material, and weeded the app tape from the inside contour. I froggied it and airbrushed the blend and flames.

When I peeled off the app tape, I had the black outline and removed the background and put app tape over the whole thing.

This guy is gonna have branded flaming vinyl on the sides of his riding lawnmower for Christmas this year!
