I was working on a dental sign at the Dixie Letterheads meet in Commerce, GA when I was discovered and was chosen as SOTM for Nov. Well, a purchasing agent for the U.S. Coast Guard was surfing the web and stumbled across your website. He made a note of it and now they need a 5'x 5' logo carved similiar to the dental sign for the USCG Training Center in Yorktown, VA. Without your exposure, I very well would not have gotten this job !!! So, my hat is off to you and the great service you provide to this great letterheads site !! I still think it would be an excellent idea to make a medallion of some sort to put on the winning participants website.
Thanks again for a job well done !!

((( what is this Grain Belt stuff, anyway? ))

(well, he hasn't done me much of a service cuz I ain't never been on sign of the month....but one of these days I'll send in a picture of something I think is worthy and hope that he has run out of other pics by then!!!!! )

Keep up the good work John AND Mark!

Great news John!!!
you made my day buddy!
my only reason for SOTM is to showcase great signwork.
and your sign was a winner.
as soon as i get a chance i will make a medallion to go on the winner's websites.
if i have made Letterville a little more interesting with "Sign of the Month" then i have accomplished what i set out to do.

the rest of you heads send me a pic of one of your sign jobs, murals etc,
and who knows, it just might lead to more work!

hey dave, "there is no way to win it if ya don't send it in!" LOL

to see john's winning entry again click here... http://www.markfair.com/sotmnov2k.html

keep sending that beautiful work in folks!

merry christmas from all of us at Sign of the Month... http://www.markfair.com/signomonth.html

AAAAAHHHHHHH......GRAIN BELT........My day was topped off with a coupla Cold Grain Belt's today and Sir, let me tell you what it is............It's just the geatest Beer known to Man is all. In fact, Grain Belt is the most "Sign Painter Freindly" Beer in the world! Oh yeah, It's the omly beer that talks about a famous landmark Sign from the 1940's that still stands in Downtown Mineapolis, on each label! This remarkable Beer is also the same Beer that once used cartoon sign painters to be the mascots! So you see, Grain Belt is what you need O' brother of the brush! Please have your I.D. ready and come on down to the "Ratskellar" at www.grainbelt.com It's made fresh everyday in St. Paul Minnesota! Enjoy! Mike Meyer, official Tester

Congrats on the new sign job John.

I was surprised that the sign made it after all of the times that you moved it around in Commerce.

Sure is a nice sign!
