I had a past employee drop in today. She was one of four I have had a chance to visit with in the last month or so.
It was great to reminice a bit and catch up on what's transpired over the last few years. I gave her a tour of Giggle Ridge... a place she helped build with us. She was happy to see the changes we have made and happy she was able to help us realise and live our dream.
I also got to hear abour her life over the last while... she's a registered nurse now, paid for by the money she saved while working for us.
It is great to see the kids I hired and worked with mature into wonderful adults... productive members of society. Most I hired right from high school, some for their very first job. Some were with us for a short time, others like Heather were with us much longer.
Now it makes me happy to see them realising their dreams, something I always encouraged them to do when they were with us.
While there is much bad news around us, there are many, many good folks too. I am proud to have worked with so many over the years!

That's great to hear about Heather!! I enjoyed meeting her when I hung out there during the building. Never seen so many young people work so hard and get so dirty, and have so much fun!!!!!!
