Mike, can you see that thing striped and flamed with a sign shop name on it? You'd be the coolest dude at the next meet!

Hey, Kathy -- who's to say I'm not the coolest dude at the next meet without that thing?

Besides, have you seen what some of us drive?

Thanks Shep, I was wondering where you were. Hows your T-Rex type machine going? Had you seen those before for some of your inspiration?

Actually, Doug,
I started my three wheeler about 5 or 6 years ago.....I think the T REX came after I started.
However it is a VERY good looking Machine.
Since I am doing about 99.9% of all the work on mine ,it is taking some time and it will cost considerably LESS...
I am in the process of constructing a new Shop/Studio...... the "Scorpion " has taken a back seat....Also I have been busy building the Fiberglass 55Chevy Chairs (Maybe this winter I will be able to finish "Her"

Hey Shep, looks like it's coming along. I like how the doors open up hinged to the A-pillar, saves a lot of "door opening space"!

Do you have an estimate on the weight of that machine?

Mike,
You can park within 12" of a building and still open the doors !!!!!
It will weigh about 1500 lbs.

Let me know when you get it done Shep, we could hold a meet and teach fiberglass construction.. then build a mold of the whole thing and I can show ya how to cut the weight to 1/4th of that. [Smile]

Mike,
Thanks for the invitation, I am sure this would make for a "FUN" meet....
The way I built the "Scorpion" incorporates the "Plug" within the construction..and used most of the donor bike frame, a lot of MDO, and a steel frame with roll bar.....if it was built from a mold, and used some Kevlar, aluminium, chrome moly tubing etc., the overall weight could be held well under 1000 lbs.....
With the same engine this would be a "Rocket"
As it is now the top end should exceed 140 mph and the fuel mileage (Under normal driving ) should be around 40 mph per gallon.
