We have posted a great deal of new information regarding the Chippewa Brush Bash on the website this last few days. We have several motels listed now with room availability and rates. The registration slips are coming back in now, and for the procrastinators out there (I know how that goes...) book a room before it's too late. The nicer motels with the pools, etc. are filling up quickly.
We have more specific information about some of our projects as well, and some of you have offered your assitance on prepping panels, doing banners, and offered to be project leaders... Thank you! I knew people would come through eventually. We are trying to plan some "back-up" projects as well as we get a better handle on how many people actually send back their registration and we get a more accurate head count. We continue to be swamped with our everyday work, so we will juggle phone calls as best we can to handle information regarding the meet.
We currently have one job to do outside our shop that will take us at least 4 to 5 days, so we're banking on our voice mail! After that, it's outside to do some lettering up at the fairgrounds for 2 to 3 days, so don't be afraid to leave detailed messages at 715-723-3437.
We've got folks coming from Canada, Minnesota, Michigan, and a quite a few from small shops around the entire state of Wisconsin. I'm glad to see so many smaller shops come forward. Some have never been to a meet, so it will be a great first experience for them with the talent we will have on hand.
A couple of my local suppliers are sending sandblast stencil, banners, paint, etc. and have been very helpful with sharing some of the workload. Thanks Midwest Sign and Screen Printing Supply and N. Glantz & Son!
Plenty of information is under the Letterhead Meet tab at Chippewa Brush Bash

The meet is nearly here and we're going full speed to get things ready. We've become "mason's" this past week... one of the walls had some tough spots in the mortar joints, so we pressure washed, scraped and tuckpointed. We have two different wall jobs on brick to do at the meet, and Mike Meyer will be a project leader on one, so we're looking forward to good weather and great results.
We have two 10 x 20's that we're doing indoors on our racks too. Our project leaders are blasting HDU and glass, gold leafing, airbrushing, pinstriping, and of course hand lettering. We've got some panels to do to cover up some windows at the old armory which will be done in a military or patriotic theme. ALso some neat work for Leinie's at the brewery as well as a couple of other Leinie's projects. HDU samples with hands on blasting should make for some interesting projects.
We don't have many Letterville citizens at the meet, but we'll try and keep you posted with pictures and updates from the meet thru Barb via e-mail ( I only posted pix once, and I forget how to do all that) We do however, have folks coming from:
Canada, Michigan, Minnesota, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa (oops, almost forgot Nebraska!) and of course Wisconsin. People are still calling in to register and we're just under the 50 mark for pre-registered (including a small crew of my helpers... thanks in-laws and a couple of my brothers!) I saw the test print for the shirts today... boy are they sharp! Six color front and 1 color back. That's probably the longest I've ever worked on a shirt design to get all the blends, traps, etc. done as accurately as I could.
Well, it's back to work... wish us luck with the weather!
