Customer came up to me in Subway the other day. Said,"Those magnetic signs you sold me wont come off my truck." He has had them for about a year now, so I asked him how many times did he remove them each week to clean the surface, etc. "Uhhh, a couple times." IN THE WHOLE YEAR! Well, sure enough, them suckers was stuck bettern' hot snot. I told him the signs had become part of the truck now, so he need not worry. They will stay on for sure at speeds up to 200 miles per hour. Also told him that I gave him directions on the care of the signs, as I do each customer, printed out on a sheet easy to understand. He did not follow those directions, so he is "STUCK" with his magnetic signs. I was very nice about it, but couldnt help but be a little sarcastic to him about what happened. I also told him that he really needed to remove them and either have new ones made, or have the truck itself lettered. Course, true to form, he said he will keep these for now. Wait till he tries to take them off in another year....

Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!! Dealing with the public. I made a really nice set a while back for a lady and the other day I noticed that they weren't on her car so I asked her where they were she said "They acted like they didn't want to come off when I tried to take them off so I am leaving them off" I asked her if she had followed the instructions I had given her and she nicely replied "no". I specifically handed the instructions to her and explained them to her, WHY CAN'T THEY FOLLOW THEM! I will never know, and she isn't the only one who has done that to me. Thing is you know some of them are going to bad mouth you 'cause they think you ripped them off somehow.

I had a customer who forgot to take one of them off when she went thru the car wash. She also got a hot wax. Needless to say, the mag DID NOT want to come off. Luckily for us, she came in laughing at herself about it and asking for advice on getting it off.
She ended up using a heatgun, a powerwasher and went thru a six pack of beer, but did manage to get the mag off.(one dime size piece at a time)
We ended up designing something much nicer anyway to apply directly to the truck and gave her a price break even though it wasnt our fault(we felt sorry for her) As thanks, she brought us lunch from a gourmet carry out place and she has sent us at least 5 or 6 other customers.

Last time I didnt ready a direstion sheet was those car topper signs from HTH, customer came back with half the lettering gone. Next time I got one I read it sure enough said dont letter directly on it use this clear vinyl first.
