I watched most of the on where they turned a Mustang GT convertible into a lawn mower. Man was it cool. I guess they are trying to come up with a Battlebots beater.

watched em last night in fact! they turned a late model vw beetle into a swamp boat! looked stock going down the street, but it floated and a prop came out the back hatch! cool. Also did you see the show about the bike guy, jessie james that was on TLC. builds custom bikes for celebs and such. pretty awesome.

We have a "boatmobile" that we made using a boat and a Nissan truck. It won't float but we do drive it around on the road (Don't ask, I'm sure it's illegal but.......). We use it for Shriners parades. It is pretty cool. Needless to say, it is lettered up too. A buddy also has one but his is a speedboat on an old Toyota Tercel chopped down. If I ever figure out/have time to figure out how to post up pix's I will post a pix of it.

To see a great website design with Kool graphics and also to see how someone markets himself, check out westcoastchoppers.com like Mike says.
This Jesse James also has a wild kustom kar business going on too. Check out westcoastcustoms.com. The guy is is extremely talented and does excellent choppers. I know it's not mainstream or what we're used to but, if I was 19 or 20 today, I'd probably be into that tattoo and primer scene a bit heavy myself. Lol
While we're on this subject, check jimkoch.com and motorcult.com for some edgy graphics and kool lettering. This Jim Koch owns and runs both. I've been following this guy for a year and I'm krazy about his stuff.
The Monster Garage show is pretty kool. How about the limo turned into a firetruck and the Ford Explorer turned into a garbage truck. Real crazy, man.
Later,
Joel

He's good to work with too........Except everything has to be "NOW", or "YESTERDAY", and overnite delivery. He spends more on shipping than most of us can make.......
Jesse and his crew are good people, so don't believe all the stupid rumors always goin around.......
He's also heavy into spider-webs......I think one of the bikes I did for him is still on his "Bikes" page........One belonging to a guy named Tony........check out the webs on tank and fender........Those are steel...not aluminum, and I broke more tools doin that job than I own..........had ta make a bunch of new ones. That bike took a little over 3 weeks to completly build......I put in three 18 hour days straight doin my little thing....
.........cj
PS........Joel, Jesse dosen't have a car business too.....Those are "ALL" his toys, and is adding to them all the time........The one that blew me away, was when he flew to Italy and had his new Ferrari custom built for him...........I think it's called Success

I seen the first show they had on Jesse, I guess that it was maybe a year ago. Don't know if thats when it "first" came out or not. This past bike week in Daytona my Dad was down there on Vacation and he tried to find his both to get me a shirt but he didn't find it. If you knew my Dad you would understand....LOL Get him in a court room and he could tell you who blew their nose and at what time. Outside he gets lost going to the dumpster at the condo.
I do believe if I ever hit the lottery I would be making a trip to meet Jesse and order one of them $60,000.00 specials. I wouldn't ride it to often, I suspect that would really put my back in knots, but at least I could rest my back with a big ole smiiiiile on my face ...... Then again, you got to buy a ticket to win and I havn't bought one in ages LOL
I can't wait to see what they come up with this fall. and BTW, my favorite was the limo/firetruck

Well, not quite on that scale, but this past winter at the shop I work in, things got slow and imagination set in. We built a 3-wheeled contraption out of an old kid's scooter and two bicycle forks, and added a weedeater motor. With the lightest guy in the shop on it, we got a top speed of 17 mph on a hand-held gps. Next project was a mountain bike with a chainsaw engine on it. That one is still sitting in the cornor, because we weren't done yet and business picked up. We also built one of those bikes where you take the front sprocket and forks off, flip the frame over, add a seat post and extend the gooseneck, and end up riding with your rear end about 5 feet off the ground. The guy who built this, and actually takes it out and cruises the neighborhood on it, is close to 300lbs. Makes for quite a strange sight!
