The daisys in the back yard are blooming like crazy.
The hummingbirds are emptying the feeder every other day.
The Quail gets up on the fence and struts his stuff morning and evening.
The Mockingbirds are quiet, which means they have found mates and are building nests. They stop by to eat the strawberries that are planted in the yard for them.
The Doves, well, what can you say about Doves - they are always close by and cooing.
These are all happy things. Vic G

I paid off my car last week. It's just a Geo Tracker but out of a dozen or so new cars (including Mustang GT's, Camaro SS's, 4 Runners and other silly high dollar toys), it's the first I've every paid off. What a releif it is, NO MORE NEW CARS! Oh Well it's good for me but I don't know how that'll cheer up anybody else. Makes me HAPPY AS HECK!!!!!!! Wonder why everybody is so cocky right now. Roger you are in Hawaii way away from me and I still notice it everday, everywhere. Went to Anderson SC the other day (A decent sized town near me) and man by the time I got home I was mad as hell. Everybody was being rude and arrogant. WHAT GIVES?

GOOD NEWS....I'm going to COLORADO for a week of doing absolutely NOTHING! I'm gonna sit in my lawn chair with a cold beer (by a lake at 12,000ft.) and give the bird to passers by.....I guess I AM cranky!

Bob, I am sure you'll figure out a way to peep at this board. Come on fess up you gonna peep at it at least once. You also need to make you a PC 60'd hand flippin' a bird and put it on coro with a step stake sign. That way you can put it beside your chair for when the beer kicks in good and your too slow to react with a real one. HA!HA!

My middle daughter just announced her engagment to a really nice guy. I went to soccer camp and watched my little grandaughter and all the other little kids have a great time. She came up and gave me a big hug, for coming to see her play. A client was thrilled with the first draft of my logo design; he wants signs, business cards and stickers. It's been a good day.

Summer is finally here in the "Great White North". I have "stripe foot" to rival Mike and Don (serious stripe foot!). Business is booming. I am seeing a downturn in the cost of airfare. Shirl is NOT pregnant (THAT is a GOOD thing!)
Oh yeah!!! I woke up this morning and stayed alive all day..THAT must be a good thing??
Not that it is important.I DID use both Rapid Tac and Rapid Remover yesterday! THAT will make Roger have a GOOD day! LOL

well Roger, I'm not quite sure how to put it, but that "rapid tack" stuff works great for vinyl and removing residue stuff like that. But since you wanted to know about other things to talk about. I must confess I went out not long ago to just play a game of pool. I had forgot to throw on some cologne, but I had a some rapid tack in my truck...ah well splash a little on. Look what happen! Man I didn't even get to play pool, but I had a great time!

Dave, when it comes to stripefoot, you'll NEVER beat me! Don won't even come close either, I am the master of stripefoot! I got a wicked case of it goin already and yes, I've already washed off today's accummulation of desert dust.
If stripefoot doesnt interest you, well I also have a case of reverse-racoon eyes (gotta wear shades!) and a half-n-half forehead (hat tanline).
Roger, the sun is shinin, the palm trees are green, the sky is blue, the water is "bluer" , the mountains are purple (Yes I'm describing Arizona, not Hawaii!), it's still only 110 degrees (it only gets hotter from here!), my jetskis still float and my truck runs, my bicycle tires are holding air, I'm single and enjoying the freedom... life is good and I have nothing to complain about!

We had a WONDERFUL day. I spent the day with Adrienne and her ever-so-lovely daughter Cristel. I took them on a tour of this end of the Peninsula. They had a ball! So did I!
I am sure she will tell you all about it when she gets time.
Life is "indeed" good!

I had a great day today! Went to the beach with my mom and Cody, and stayed from noon till 8pm.
Had pizza on the beach for dinner, such a beautiful evening. Topping it all off with a great coffee, then little guy fell asleep on the way home. Bliss!
P.S. I could really live in Hawaii and somewhat enjoy it I think.

Yes Donna, but you couldn't stay at the beach more then 2 hours unless you bring a umbrella, the sun is so intence !!
Its strange, the temp. is 80 to 90 f., (so it feels wonderfull), but after an hour you have to check for burn ! We see so many tourists who were so white, that (in 2 hours are soooooooo bright red !
Joey, Its always fun talkin with you, now lets talk next time about something other then buiss., He he he hehe !
You were talkin about the Remover price, well,I had a call before you (I didn't mention), the cost of florinating the Remover bottles and double freight just went up again cause they closed another plant in S. CA.. I sold remover at a dead loss for the whole year of 1995, cause the big component went up tripple, and I didn't want to pass it on, now we are going down that high road again !
Oh well, I am just going to smile and keep truckin !! Things always work out somehow.

I had a great weekend! Got to meet Rob Lowe- he's in town doing a movie, and we were able to get a photo op with Mr. Studmuffin during a break...I think my wife got a little more out of it than I did. Really nice guy- wasn't bothered, and took a pic with my wife and 4-month-old daughter! It's always nice to see a celebrity grounded.

Just got back Sunday from a week in Colorado NW of Denver. No sitting still, Bob. I made it up to 13300 ft, above the treeline, on the Trail Ridge Hwy. in the RM National Park . Elevation in my hometown of N.O. is -6'. Fished, hiked, bicycled, golf, rafted and even saw the NY Yankees get beat 13-10 by the Rockies on a 10th inning 3 run homer Thursday. Yankee Roger Clemmons pitched 4 1/2 innings, got on base, scored the first run and drove in a run in the 4th, before getting hit by a linedrive in the 5th. Pretty good day for an old guy. The whole family loved the game. Have a good one Bob.

I got tickets for the Kate Wolf Memorial Folk Festival this weekend and am real excited about that one. Camping at the river there is quiet and the water is so clear and cool. I like getting away occassionally and to join with hundreds of old hippies on the river with special music and moments..... Kate Wolf Memorial Folk Festival

Roger, from the "you know the day's gonna be OK when",I checked the "obituaries" in our local paper this morning, my name was not there. Remember every day is a "GIFT".

Like Dr. J. I check the obits, and also the police blotter, and if I don't find my name in either, then I figure it's gonna be a good day and get on with it.

Last night I finally dusted off my old airbrush after a decade of total neglect and got a beautiful result. Rainbow colors. Ok, it took me until 10:30pm to finish but it sure made my day. I can do it,ha! Roger, I went to apply some decals at a bodyshop in town yesterday, the guy says, "do you want some soap and water?" Me:"Naa, I got something better than that". It's true, I used soapy water all the time, but RT makes it stick much faster. So there, that should make you feel better...

Me again. I've had such a cool Letterhead experience this morning. Coming to the shop, here's a guy waiting on his motorbike. Turns out he's a signmaker from Winnipeg. Coming through town last night he saw my shop and decided to spend the night to say hello in the morning. We've had a great visit and then he was on his way to see some more sign folks on his way back to the city. He sure made my day! I invited him to Letterville and hope he'll show up some day. One problem though: he's mostly into neon stuff, does that make him a Neonhead??

Just flew from heavenly Hana where I finished my best-ever contract to add decorative polynesian graphics to 30 renovated resort cottages in this remote throwback to the lush & laidback Hawaii of the past.
I had a meeting with the general manager before returning home. The new owners, having completed their cottage remodel project, are now setting their sights on establishing a more coherent protocol for signage consistancy, & begginning the first phase of sign renovation & replacement.
The hotels designer as well as the management have enjoyed working with me, are happy with my work, & want me to spearhead the design & production for this project.
I'm drenched in work ... not able to keep up very well, but lovin' it anyway.
I have a great guy, who has a birthday tomorrow, and we will make the most of this weekend celebrating it. (starting tomorrow night!)
I have a fantastic mom, who is my best girlfriend.
I've got good friends who put up with me! ;
My adrenaline has been mounting as we (Dave & I) plan our next vacation in the mountains this fall. (coloured leaves and cool air have this effect on Floridians)
How's that for starters?
There are all kinds of things going right, that seem to squash the speed bumps along the way.
Although ... some days are better than others. There might be something to that whole thing about which side we wake up on eh?
