Well that goes to show that a seemingly un-avoidable American icon of highway travel can be missed (even by a somewhat well-traveled American). I was not aware of SOB. So there are probably a few here un-initiated to Wall Drug as well.
Most if not all my road trips were between my home state of Illinois & the west coast or the east coast or Canada. My memorable trip to Peru stopped in Florida but that was air travel.
