Hiya, We're new on here and trying to get to know our way around. I'm the long suffering wife of charlie stanley (signmaker of 10 years) living in the UK. We would love to emigrate to Canada so if anyone has any tips or contacts, please let us know. Also when do people go on the chat site? I've been sat there chatting to myself! (sad)

You can find someone on Chat usually betwee 1am and 9am, your time. Most are on at 3am to 6 am, your time. the reason being is that it is evening for those in the US and lunch time for the Aussies.

Welcome Charles' wife!!!!!!!!!!! and Charles too!!!! There are a lot of good and talanted people on here from Canada that I am sure can give you plenty of Info on a wonderful country. Our own Mayor and first Lady hail from the great North, two of the best and nicest people you could ever want to meet. Then there is Dave Grundy, a whiz with CorelDraw! and all around great guy. Next is Donna, proud mother of Cody, a terrific sign maker and a wonderful lady to boot.
There are many others and I sure they will chime in here.
As far as chat goes I believe the best time to catch a lot of people is on Wed. evening after 9 pm Eastern time(US). Don't ask me to convert that to the time in the UK......heheheh Most other nights are good around that time as well, but I think Wed. is still the most active. There used to be a group that met in the mornings but you would just have to try and see who you can catch.

Welcome to Letterville, Mrs. Stanley,....The chat channel is busy off and on most afternoons and evenings here on the east coast of the U.S.,... There is usually someone there between 9pm est until,... We have folks from all over the world so some may be there at any given time during the evening here on the east coast.There is also a small group that chats early in the mornings there too upon occaision.I'm not to up to snuff on the differences in the time zones but we are always asking the Aussies how tomorrow is gonna be as it is always tomorrow there,...

Yep, We live in Canada...Shirl was born here..I was born in Birmingham England. Unfortunately I can't give you any cocrete info on immigrating here...I was 4 years old when I arrived in Canada!!!!! LOL LOL

Hi Charlie and wife... Welcome to Letterville. I'm not sure if I can be of help at all, but we immigrated to Canada almost ten years ago from Switzerland. Regulations might be changed but you'll probably still need patience. If you're looking for cheap property and lots of space you're best off here in the prairies ( we need more Letterheads here!)
