Its 11.45pm Sunday night, finally got all my plotters and software installed, and there are just a few things that still need sorting.
I need to reply to a few mails and am not sure of how to get all my old inbox and addresses from what is now Local F drive, have tried importing but it only picks up on what is already in Local C drive.
I also dragged some already installed programs like Adobe from F: over to C: maybe that was not such a good idea?
My Norton Internet 2002 is also on F: trying to think of ways around installing that again from the CD and then downloading updates that are only a week old, but issued a year almost since the CD was made....ie loads of download time on live update which is already on F: drive....don't know how much sense I am making it late but you get my drift!
Other stuff like problems with security keys for internet banking I can call up about tomorrow.
jackie vaughan...thanks for your mail, I need to get access to my old inbox before I can reply!
What a fun week-end its been!!
Thanks again for you kindness in giving time for advice.
If so, in the c:/Windows/Local Settings/Application Data/Microsoft/Outlook folder, there is a file named "Outlook.pst"
You can copy that file to the same directory on you new windows drive. There may be a chance that the Outlook folder doesn't exist yet on you new drive. In that case....get outlook installed, create that folder manually and then copy that file into that directory. It should then give you all your inbox stuff and most of what your gonna want.

Henry, With regard to your email... what program are you using? I seem to remember some time ago you were using Outlook Express, if this is still the case you should be able to import you old email messages, address book etc by opening OE and using the import function, then pointing it to X:\documents and settings\Username\application data\ where x: is the letter assigned to your old drive and username is the username you would have used to logon to windows to access the email under normal circumstances. If you are using the full blown version of Outlook then try doing a search on the old drive for *.pst files. Then using the file/open/personal files & folders - then navigating to the old .pst file in Outlook to access the old email. HTH, David
