Wondering how many folks attended the B.I.G. show in Providence, RI last weekend and the impressions of those that did. Like to hear from either side of the isle, attendees or vendors.

I attended the Columbus, OH show from 97 to 01 but elected to not attend this year because of the continuing drop off of vendors and overall show quality and experience. I was planning on attending Providence but changed my plans at the last minute. Continually reviewing the seminar schedule and list of vendors didn’t justify the expenses that would be incurred for attending. Basically, my cost verse benefit meter didn’t appear to be close enough in balance to validate the trip. - Any other multi year attendees of the B.I.G. show feel the quality of the shows have degraded over the years?

Have to agree with you, Bob. Very few of the cutting program people were there, and the same with the paint folks. None of the crane/trucks. No Bullpen to play in, either.

A lot more of the computer-run embroidery machines than I had seen before, and a few router devices.

Ran into some people I had met before, so from the social standpoint, it wasn't a total loss.

Not as good a show as in other years.

Hope Atlantic City stays "up there" this year.

If they get around the Atlanta Georiga area.
I would attend just to make up my mind one way or the other.

I went. After I found the place, NOT a user friendly place to find! It was OK. I was kinda suprised to see they had 3 vendors selling the same stuff (Gerber). I did get to see an engraver that I was eyeing, but after seeing it in person, I'll be sticking to my Meistergram, sure built a hell of a lot more rugged than anything I saw there! The show was OK, but would I do it every year? Nope! Hope that answered your question.
