I have the midas touch... well sort of. Only I don't turn anything to gold and I certainly don't add value to things with this magic I possess.
Everything I own has dabs of different colored paint on it (not on purpose) And Janis says they are fingerprints no less... and mine on top of that. I'd fight it but I suspect that its true. ... door knobs and handles, car steering wheel (Janis' car and mine), toilet flush handles, taps on every sink, every single piece of clothing I own, and even lots of Janis' clothes.
The kids, and even the dog often had paint on them. The light switches, fridge, cupboards, and even the stove knobs.
To this day I don't understand how it all got there. I mean I am one CAREFUL guy!
I can walk through the center of the shop, TWO DAYS after I've done any painting... everything has gotta be dry, but when I come out - sure enough, there's paint on my hands and my pants and even my favorite brand new jacket that I promised faithfully I wouldn't wear near any paint. How it got there I have NO idea. And whats worse is I don't notice it when it happens... otherwise I might have a remote chance to get it off before it dries... but Janis can spot it from 20-30 feet away. In the dark no less.
I sincerely hoped that as I matured (got older) this effect might lessen, but no, I was wearing a brand new hat today... You guesses it... a spot of blue right up front. What's worse... I haven't painted blue for a long, long time. I musta been passing some blue paint and it jumped onto my hat, at light speed no less, for I sure didn't see it coming.
And it wasn't me who noticed it either. You guessed it, I went to speak to the love of my life and she spotted it as I approached from afar. Its a good thing she loves me dearly... She just shook her head and laughed...
She knew three things to be true(as always)... I didn't mean to, I didn't know where it happened, and I was real, real sorry.
Maybe this time it will wash out.

You can cut and paste your whole story for me Dan. Same exact story here. The day I will wear something nice or new figuring no paint today, that's when it happens.

I have over 30 pairs of shoes and 1 or 2 of them got paint spots. Always have paint on my eye glasses and fingers for some strange reason and have to walk around a vehicle 10 times to remove smudges from places I haven't even touched. Even the outside of my work vehicle has paint all over it.
Weird huh?
