To all stripers:What catalist do you use for striping and how do you know which one to use for which appliction? Is it necessary to clear over all striping.Thanks in advance

Yes I do use a catalyst in my striping (1-shot ), I use their "hardener", add a couple of drops to a cup of paint,(using an "Art-Kup",1oz.size) I do this even if I'm not going clear coat. I also use House of Color, which also needs a catalyst if you're not going to clear coat. You can clear coat over the 1-shot, but you got to be careful.

I stopped using catalyst around April of this year. 1-Shot catalyst #4007
HoK catalyst is KU-200, used to add gloss when not clearcoating.
Atomic paint has their own catalyst which must be used at a ratio about 1/2 C to 1 P
Both catalysed paints are used for adding gloss as well as speeding up dry time.
My website could show you more then what is needed and why.
*Take note that using catalyst is dangerous to use as it can travel through the pores of your skin as well as airborne. Handling or smelling it cannot be very good for you in the long haul.
