We are building a tovicel sign. The background is 1/4" thick with 1/4" thick cut out letters that will be applied to the background. What is the best glue or method for attaching the letters? The sign will be attached to an interior wall Thanks for any advice!

Good day, Ernie - when adhesives come up at this site, most people recommend a wet solution. I am a fan of dry solutions when practical. In this case I would use one of 3M's vhb tapes. Adhesion is instant,it sticks solidly, and you can get the letter off without damage if you have to. the letter will stand off the background just a hair, but usually that is good. Three tabs on most letters, two on I's,etc
Here's another tip you might want to try. Attach white (or color) sintratop to the face of the PVC with MacTac sheeting and then rout your letters. The face has the nice high gloss of the sintratop and the edges are dull. Interior only, of course.
Have a great weekend, Ernie. Vic G

For interior letters I am a big fan of tape as well except I have been using banner hem tape because it is thinner. Still incredibly strong. Won't fall off by itself. Would take quite a bit of effort to get it off.
