Today is the 58th anniversary of the landing at Normandy. On this day every year I am reminded of the raw courage displayed by the solders of the United States, Canada, and England. The U.S. landed on Ohama beach early in the morning. The armor that was to accompany the infantry on the landing sunk. This left the infantry to charge up the beach 400 yards in a witheing fire. The carnage was unimaginable. Every man involved in the operation I consider a hero. We all owe a tremendious debt to the sacfiface and courage of those young men. From Valley Forge, to the farm fields of The Civil War, to the island hills of Cuba, to the trenches of France, to the frozed tundra of Korea, to the jungles of Viet Nam, to the sands of Kuwait and to the mountains of Afganhistan I say THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE SERVED THIS GREAT COUNTRY!! All veterans of hot and cold wars I appreciate the freedom I enjoy paid for in your sacriface of blood. God Bless All of YOU.

Thank you to all of you who fought to defend ALL of our countries! My Grandfather was in one of the first boats to hit the beach. He was one of the very few survivors from his troup. We were blessed to have him in our lives until his car accident in 1996. I can't imagine what they went through. I'm sure for many veterans and their families, this is a very emotional day.

The National D-Day museum opened in New Orleans a few years ago. Some that were on Normandy can not bear the weight of the memories it brings back.
