We have one guy in the shop who whenever he gets there early turns the radio to the classical station ... not that I have anything against it ... but by the end of the day, Damned if I don't feel like I'm working in a Bugs Bunny cartoon.

When I'm hand lettering, I like to listen to Andrea Bocelli or the soundtrack to the movie "Big Night",Enya,Sarah McLauchland or Bryan Ferry. Rock and Roll when its time to coat out or fabricate. Late evenings I bring out the old "Yes" albums. And when I'm not in the mood for any tunes... "it's the Don and Mike Show and they'll say what they like"

Radio most of the morning. After hearing the five songs they play 30 times in 2 hours:
Edwin McCain-Misguided Roses good, but too slow
Scorpions-Lovedrive Daniel Amos-Shotgun Angel Triumph-Rock'n Roll Machine (Import) Metallica-Various Mp3's (Don't sue me Lars! I really do own the CD's!) April Wine-Live (King Biscuit Flour Hour)
Why is it I only get in The Zone listening to really loud rock? Got A Lot done this afternoon.

I had the radio on the "Oldies" and they were playing a lot of Buddy Holly, Big Bopper, stuff.
Is it about the anniversary of Buddy Holly's plane crash?

I'll never forget watching 14 naked people try to find easter eggs in a Dumpster last spring.
I wondered who else was listening here.....

I love these topics. Today its Fleetwood Mac. Tony you have brought up some good points - when I want to be very creative I often put Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet loud enough to shake the walls. If I want to put energy or power into my work I do the same with the Pogues. Anyone else do this?

Today we're listening to the cd my son and daughter cut of 80s cover tunes. Lat on guitar, Rosemary on bass and J.D. on drums, recorded live in the studio with two guitar overdubs and five vocal overdubs. Really great stuff. They've learned well.
