I know it is sometimes frowned upon, but I was provided with a font I needed after much searching elsewhere had failed me. Hopwfully someone will be able to help you as well.
I will bump this up as well as suggest that if you have any scanned text from client business card etc. you may want to post it since there may be another name for that font in someones collection.

if you can show a sample of the font you need,that may help. Sometimes when you download a font off the web it's name change due for various reasons. I have over 1500 different fonts dl from the net, maybe I could help

WHAT?? the customer will not supply you with art work? I bet he told you WHEN he wanted the job done and how much he was going to pay too! You will ALWAYS have this problem when you allow the customer to make ALL the rules!!!! Sorry to hear of your self imposed dilemma
