Update: The long march to find an appropriate space for my art gallery in Santa Fe is over. I leased a perfect storefront a couple blocks to the west of the Plaza on San Francisco St. and will open the doors in three weeks. I have two hundred paintings ready and six other artists to exhibit with us, but will focus on my work as the primary deal. It has taken me seven trips down there since December to get the right space and iron out all the details (what a tricky deal). Still, I am as excited as a new puppy and will sincerely miss the splash art business in Kansas City (however will continue to live here and simply go to Santa Fe a week a month). I do have someone to buy the splash business which will keep it going here.
Thanks for all your support and I look forward to seeing Letterheads in Santa Fe at Paxton & McCall Fine Art, 221 W. San Francisco St! Feel free to come in and introduce yourself. As soon as I get the gallery website up and running, I will post it. Until then, go to my site and you will get some idea of my work. www.prestonmccall.com

Back in the 80's Janis & I owned and operated our own art gallery in Chemainus, B.C. I enjoyed it immensely and met lots of great folks there. We sold a lot of art there as well, both mine and the other artists we carried.
Have fun with your new venture!

Good luck on the new venture. I've often wondered if an art gallery set up somewhere to sell fine art, pinstripe art, gold signs etc. produced only by sign people would work. Just think of the unique talent out there in Letterville!

Mark, That is why I posted it! I would love to see some artistic sign work blur the definitions of what is art. I would look at anyone's creative work with an open eyeball....maybe not a flying Von Dutch eyeball, but at least open one! Lemme see your best stuff.

Good Luck Preston. I have looked at your work a few times & admired your style. Being my former home of 5 years I know I will make it back to Santa Fe someday & will look you up.
Congratulations! I'm glad to here you got it going. I will definitely go by and check it out since I am only 45 minutes away in Albuquerque.
When my wife goes to Santa Fe to visit any of her clients, I take the day off and she drops me off at the plaza so I can check out all the galleries. Of course there are so many I never have time to visit as many as I would like.
Good luck!

I'm glad to see your progress with the gallery!! It's always good to see a Kansas boy find success
I've been working on plans for a sign saloon in Scottsdale so I'm also glad to hear of your desire to "blur the definitions of what is art" since some of what is called fine art has always looked a little blurry to me.
Best wishes on the new venture!!

Thanks to all for the support! Back in KC for another load and then back down the Santa Fe trail. 13 hours of driving each way gives me lots of time to think about how incredibly beautiful to long trek thru the lonesome trail realy is. Saw a tornado two weeks ago in Barton County, KS and on Monday, drove thru a hail storm which covered the highway solid with three inches of pea sized hail! Thank my lucky stars for 4x4 and the freedom in this country to have a dream and to go make it happen! Maybe a contest for the best sign would be something we might consider? Who are the real artists? Letterheads!
