Am I one of the few who has a cluttered up sign shop or is this the norm? What a misery! Example, I have 10-15 gold squegees floating around somewhere. I'll clean up, find them all and in a day or so, pooof where are they? Same thing with XACTO knifes, rulers and everything else not bolted down. I'll even try the "I'll put it back in the same place everytime" routine. Is there no hope or maybe there are SIGNSHOP GREMLINS? Hmmmmmmmmmm.... I Guess I'll have to hire a shop maid or live with the torment.

Just for what it's worth... As a small one man shop that's been 8 years without a vacation, I just don't have the time to chase down all my olfa knifes, squeegees, etc. I went to the local Lowes and bought a nice $12 utility pouch and belt. I took the hammer loop off because it was metal and in the way. It came with a belt and the inside pouches work great to hold stabilos, pencil, sharpees, olfa, rivet brush, razor blades, scissors, and my trusty 7inch ruler. This stuff weighs very little and it's at my side on a ladder, at a truck door or at the weeding table.
It worked out so well that I bought another one to mount to my roll-around paint table.
It's worked out to be real handy me but I still have a half dozen cans of One Shot and Ronan and all manner of other stuff on the work bench in the shop. About the only thing that's in it's place is my brushes.

Sometimes in my house stuff will go missing off of my desk. I'll start looking around and notice a furrball or two up on it, ah-ha, my cats did it. I will finally figure out what it is under in a day or two just as long a it isn't paper in which case it'll be shredded up under the couch. I've even sat down and tried to connect to the internet and no dialtone, they've been playing behind the computer and pulled the phone cord loose, they like it back there for some reason.

Hey Jimmy, did you go to Cherokee? I try to keep organized but usually I am in a mad rush and just plain ain't got time. I guess my place sotta looks like a mechanic is trying to run a sign shop just no grease thank goodness. I got one thing I really hate, where I do my weeding is on a carpeted floor and dadgum those little vinyl wads really like getting embedded in it. That is why I want me a new building with concrete floors.
