Anyone planning any getaways or holidays soon?
Normally every year I rent (barter) an rv and park it in a nice lakeside resort for a week. Last year with a 2 yr old proved pretty difficult, so much so that I can't shake the image of me running constantly outa my head, so this year I'm going to bypass that particular adventure.
Starting next weekend, my sitter is going out of town for 2 weeks, so DARN it anyway , guess I'm on holidays too! I haven't made any plans really, just daily escapes to the beach, parks, etc. I'm really looking forward to spending all my free time (ok, more like energy) towards homelife and my little guy for a change. I haven't had 2 weeks off in a very long time!
If anyone has some great ideas to share on what I could do with a 3 yr old for an overnight excursion or something special to do, I'd love to hear it!
Other than that, what are your plans for the summer?
Whoops, nearly forgot to add, Dan Sawatsky's Giggle Ridge is one event on my list! Look out Dan, Cody is gonna whip your non diapered butt in golf.

But anyone who's in the area can give it a try!

We're leaving for San Diego on Sunday...a couple of days at the Zoo and catch two SF Giants/SD Padres baseball games while we're down there.
In July, we're off to Lake Tahoe for a week. My little princess is going to be a flower girl in a wedding up there.
Then, in October, my husband and I are going on a second honeymoon. The Cayman Islands for 8 days. Woohoo! Now, that I can't wait for.

Headed to a mini-meet tomorrow, if someone who shall remain nameless will e-mail the directions. Next weekend, planning to hit the BIG show in Providence,RI.
Later in the summer, we are hoping to get down to Baltimore to see my youngest son, his wife, and the little guy you see to your immediate left. Also hoping my oldest boy, and his little girl can come up from Miami to Baltimore at the same time. (His wife is in the military and can't get away.)
With a little luck, am hoping to make the Mars Meet, but at this point, it is too early to tell whether the workload will permit it.
Other than the above, no particular plans.

I'll probably take a couple road trips this summer, taking my truck to show it off at some car/truck shows plus workin on some mag editors to hopefully land a feature in either Mini Truckin', Sport Truck, or StreetTrucks mags when I finally get it finished.
I'm thinkin of heading up to Prescott, AZ next weekend for a truck show.. might be a good chance to cool down a bit.

Just got back from a terrific get-away seeing friends and family in the Indy area. Did the Indy 500 too! vrooom-vrooom! The weather there was pure PERFECTION!
We are already planning some things later in the season and early fall. A short trip to Anna Marie Island perhaps, and then some hiking ventures up north.
My workload here tells me I'll be cranking pretty hard during the next few months tho. Lots of catching up to do!
