Recently I was asked if possible to refresh a large billboard where the paint has oxydized. This billboard is quite intense with map of lake, towns, etc. Many colors. Has anyone used the product called Vivilon to refresh oxydized paint?

We used to do this very often while working for the outdoor firms. Step one is to take a 5 gallon bucket, soap & water, and wash the sign,....step 2 clear the sign with chromatic acrylic clear topcoat. You don't say if you are doing this on location or in the shop so I won't address the saftey issues of rigging and climbing structures except to say if you are not familiar with the processes find someone who is,this is not the place for on the job training.

I've found that a good quality truck wash and a stiff broom works well for the cleaning down process. David
