Yesterday I was being introduce into a conversation and ended up pasing out business cards during the conversation. At that time a potential client stated he wanted a sandblasted sign. (I never did one) He mention it and took my card, stated it would be about 3'x5' and needed it in the next couple of months and that was the extent of the conversation. Later that evening the my friend called me and said the gentleman will be getting hold of me when the time is near. that is the situation.......... NOW... I will love to take this job, 1st for the $, and 2nd to learn a new skill. How could i prepare myself for such a job? Any info is appreciated!!

Ya just DO it. Order a clear vertical grain piece of redwood or cedar......get the right stencil to cut on your machine or use a projector and do it by hand. Take it to a REPUTABLE sandblaster. (one who doesn't blast your letters off and say OOPS)
There are quite a few very talented people here who, I am sure would be happy to help you along the way. I love doing sandblasted signs. They are my favorite.
