A lot of Americans (and Canadians) have died protecting other countries. I salute all who have, and all who returned. I wish more people appreciated that, both home and abroad.. we don't realize what we have here in North America- freedom, free enterprise... I joined a fraternity in college, and one of our pledges was that if Canada went to war we signed up the next day. Mercifully that never happened, but we did lose many brothers decades ago, and their sacrifice is still remembered.
I know OUR gov't treats most vets like groundskeepers at a country club- a necessary evil, but don't give'em too much credit or they will want sumpin!! It's shameful.

I'm with Glenn on thanking all you who have laid your life on the line so that the rest of us common folks can enjoy peace, freedom, and a good life.
The protectors of freedom and liberty are heroes in my book for simply enlisting...whether they were called into conflict or not. Many thanks and moral support from Michigan.
