Norton 2002 informs us that we're virus free, however we aren't able to have it connect to the email section.
We initially had problems loading the new program from a CD, and ended up having to download it via the net to get it on the computer to work. We finally achieved that, but for some reason, Norton is fighting our email system. (Outlook)
Any ideas on how to fix this?!? I'm still abit hesitant to email folks at this point until this thing works.

Donna, Having had to rid a few machines of klez I have a couple of suggestions to make. Your circumstances may be different but these are the steps I had to take on 2 machines that were both running Win 98 and had outdated versions of Norton software installed that didn't catch it. The releases of the Norton 2002 CD also were also pre-klez and so they didn't have klez in the signatures. Both versions installed initially with some trouble and one installation failed to work with Outlook. In the end I did the following; Uninstall Norton from the Windows control panel add/remove programs. Use regedit to delete any references to either "NAV" or "Symantec" but not references to Symantec Winfax or other software apart from Norton Anti Virus Reboot. Reboot again and run fixklez downloaded from symantec.com in safe mode. Reboot again and install Norton 2002 Update 2002 and run a full scan.
On an ME machine in similar circumstances I only had to run fixklez and update to Norton 2002. Hope this helps and I hope you're rid of it soon. David
