Hello, it's me again! I have some things I layed out in CorelDraw 8. I wanted to email them to my customer for approval but can't get export to work without distortion in any format.
I have to go there to get money anyway so I decided I would print it on my normal proposal/proof layout sheet. I need to reduce the size to fit on the paper in the form.
Every time I scale down all of the outlines around letters or anything take over the whole thing. How do I get the outlines to scale with the rest of the images?
Thanks!

Under the outline tool there is a check box for the outlines to "scale with image". Check it and try again.
Help this helps you!
Take Care and good luck.

What Jonathan and Chuck said...Plus, if the exported image is a bitmap such as JPG, GIF, etc, and is "distorting" at that point, then make sure that in the "size" in the export dialogue box is set to "1 to 1".
Just an additional thought.
One other thing Amy...I don't use pen outlines much at all in Corel since I am going to be cutting from vinyl. I use "contour" and, after seperating the contour to assign the color I want, there is no problem with the "outlines" as you describe. Just select both the graphic and the outline and re-size.
OOPS..I guess I was typing while you were too!!!! LOL

...If 1 to 1 gives you a file that is too large for some reason, then click it as 1 to 1, then go to "custom"... lock the sizes to maitain aspect ratio and then size down accordingly. The file should not distort this way.

Amy, I have much better luck converting all components to bitmap (under bitmap), instead of leaving some vector and some bitmap, when exporting. Maybe the export filters are getting mixed up trying to send a combo. Could this be it? I seem to get better color resonse and all that way. Jack

Amy, If your going to just print your image on your desktop printer all you need to do is go to corel print options > layout > fit to page. Your image will resize itself to fit the size of paper your printing.
Hope this helps

Dangit, Rich stole my response. I was gonna say the same thing about printing the file without having to resize everything, just check the "fit to page" option in the print dialogue box and it will print perfectly.

When I export corel to jpeg I use custom instead of one to one and even though the check mark for maintain aspect ratio is on, click on and off again and you see the sizing change.

Thanks everyone! Mike and Rich! Yea I know about the print thing but when I print proofs I put them within a sheet requiring signatures and all that jazz. I ended up resizing my form and then printing it out.
Jack, Everything is vector but for some reason it is just wigging out. My Corel has been messing up for weeks and I still can't open Paint because it locks up my computer. I must have some software conflicts going somewhere, but I can't figure it out.
I ordered version 10 yesterday. Hopefully I'll find some relief!
Thanks again everyone!
