That's pretty much identical to what I got when I started sign school, same price, too, back in 1995.
If you don't have anyone nearby to totally help you get set up, it sure helped me to have everything in one fell swoop.
I'm sure that the guys that have done this for a while, are able to choose everything seperately and do a good job, but it's tough when people start out to know what to get.
I like my kit, I did line the upper part with showcard on the bottom, and a piece of foam at the ends. I put slits in the foam to hold the brushes, so they don't roll around.

I went to NW Tech in Detroit Lakes, MN - Sign Design & Lettering, 1995-1997. I even graduated at the top of my class!
I've heard thru the grapevine that they might be cancelling the class. I don't know where any others are, but you sure will find out from the guys here!

Ditto what Danna said. You could put together a better kit for less, but if you are new and need a kit in a hurry this is a good setup. Hell, I still use the box from this exact kit that I bought in, ohmyGOD!, 1994!

Amy, That is a real kit for real signpainters. I have maybe 8 different kits ready to go, one for gold, one for vinyl, etc. That is the one that has enough room. I would outfit it myself with EZ Pour bottles of paint. I keep mine on the bench in the shop, and it is ready to go. I would choose my own brushes. I also have an extra used box that I don't use anymore, if your intrested. John Arnott

he has cases, paint, ezpour, brushes etc as well as Paint Sav,which is going to be the only way you keep the one shot from skinning over regardless if you store it upside down or not. I believe the case he sells is the D-Flite www.d-flite.com ,may be the same one dick blick had i just can't remember.

Amy, You can get EZ Pours from most vendors who have pinstriping supplies. Try Mr. J , Sid Moses (SEELIG) , and Lazer Linesto get you started.
Yeah, they do help prevent skinning. You want to make sure the lid is on tight and store them upsidown, Sid Moses has a pretty cool wall rack to store them in. I've replaced all my cans (except my size cans) from my original kit with EZ pours.

The sign kit pictured in the Dick Blick link is a D-Flite, same as the one Sig Moses sells for I believe $150. Sid Moses is a Letterville merchant and also carrys just about everything you haven't seen in years, he is a joy to talk with and you'll be happy to note, he is nothing like me!
