The way mine works (Sign Wizard), in the plot manager you click setup, then advanced, then select "page length" set it to 1000 inches. That should cover about anything.

But, if your plotter has it's own software control center, you will need to set the page length in it as well or it will overide the plot manager ones.

You don't mention what type of plotter you are using,...Ceratain plotters only have a set page size,.. some more, some less, depending on the idividual manufacturer. On others it is endless on one axis. These page size settings are to tell your software the limitation of movement within the plotter itself so if larger files are needed to be cut or printed, the program can tell the plotter to cut them in panels if need be without any margins so the finished cut will be one tiled cut longer than the page size inside the plotter's programing. On some plotters this varies so that the tracking can be more accurate. I would check the manufacturer's specifications for your plotter before I changed this setting. There may also be an option to set in signmate for tileing cut files that you have to enable.I would think this is a standard feature for all cas(computer aided signmaking) software.

Last and most important,... I would make sure the page size for the plotter matches and or does not exceed the setting in my cas software the manufacturers specs for that individual plotter. If you make it larger than the set page size programmed within your plotter you are asking for problems,as the plotter will recieve files telling it to cut in area that is has no parameters to cut to, thus creating gaps in tiled cuts longer than the page size and eractic knife movements and errors.

Hope this helps you,...

Randy the page length for my roland is 62 inches you don't say what model you are using but that is rolands specs for the pnc-1000a. anything I want to cut longer than that has to be tiled within 62 inch pages.I understand that the page length is longer for some of the newer models.Seems to me that the roland version of signmate was very similar to flexisign in that the first thing you did when opening a file is set the page size. Then you could import or merge your file and resize it. This should make it possible to cut the graphic in tiled sections.
