Has anyone tried this? I have a job to do in the morning and it just occured to me this might be an easy, quick way to glue letters stud mounted into concrete. This is a replacement sign for one that was mysteriously stolen. (I didn't do it, install it or steal it) so I don't know how hard they were to remove. The adhesive I usually use takes a few days to fully harden, and since someone apparently doesn't like this sign on the wall, I want something that hardens quickly. I've used pour-stone and two part epoxies with success, but Gorilla glue may be easier. Any expansion out of the hole should be hidden by the letter. I just put a stud into concrete with it, I'll try to pull it out in the morning.

I've done something similar to that several times. I use all-thread metal rod for the posts and drill holes all the way through the mortar. The post are a little longer than the thickness of the wall. I use two or three posts per letter and fill the hole and coat the back of the letter with liquid nail construction adhesive in a caulking gun. If you do it right, the post has big glob of glue on the post on the other side of the wall. When that sets (about 24 hours)it ain't coming down.
