I havnt seen any other posts about something very different in the posting process of this board. For the last several days it has taken the SUBMIT button a very long time to engage - well over a full minute.
I have noticed multiple repeated replies so I know it is effecting other people as well. When you hit SUBMIT, it seems like nothing is happening. But it really is. For some reason it is just taking waaaay longer now. If you hit submit a second or third time it will make a multiple post for each hit.
Just wait - let it send in its own good time and everything will be fine.

I've noticed (since last night) this delay only happens when the BB is at peak times. At 2am California time it works just fine.
If you hit the backspace key while typing a post you get sent back to the original message... that happens at all hours of the day. Is that a PC thing or do Macs have that problem too? (Keep it nice ;-)

I think Mark Fair just demonstrated my point...He must have hit submit, nothing happened, so he hit it again (and again) totalling three responses.
While I'm carping, I had a maddening experience recently with a lengthy post that disappeared after I submitted because I had forgotten to enter my password. When I went back to enter the password all my beautiful text had evaporated!
That happened because midway through the message I had to refer back to the topic I was responding to. When I forwarded back to reply I was working on the text was still there but I didn't notice my password had NOT been retained. I finished my reply and submitted only to be taken to a "sorry" screen pointing out my omission with a link to the general ubb page which wasnt where I wanted to go. And trying to hit "back" button brought me back to a completely blank reply screen. I could have screamed. (actually I did scream, several times).
The old bb system used to display the reply screen right under the thread so you could scroll up and reference the message while composing your reply. I know this new system has a lot of other benefits but here is one place to be very cautious. Do yourself a favor and double check that all fields are filled before submitting.

The problem of not retaining the password seems to be corrected. The delay in posting the message is real! Not only does it take a long time doing that hourglass dance, but the reply's seldom appear till the next visit to the BB. They don't show up right away as they used to. This may cause a desire to try again.
