Ken and Brian...Let Barb and I be the first to thank you guys for a wonderful weekend. To be honest, we really never thought we would make this meet. After all, we just got home from the big drive down South.

Then I got to thinking about what we might miss. I'm one of those people that is sure the REAL party breaks out when I sleep or don't attend a meet. In this case, my instincts were right on.

We had a fabulous time. Met lots of new people and got to play with some old pals as well. A personal highlight was the entertainment Joe Rees and Spud Kelly provided. We never get tired of hearing the songs from the SongPainter
CD. My personal favorite is Letterville Rocks Me, but the whole CD is great. Thanks Joe and Spud.

I've got a real treasure in the PT. Bruce Deveau produced a panel demonstrating 4 gold leaf tricks. What a talent this guy is! He worked non-stop at the easel teaching anyone interested. Bruce is a outstanding example of what Letterheads are all about.

We've got some cool photos and Michael Boone has agreed to do a report on the meet. Nothing better than a first timer's impressions!

I know many others will have lots to say about this meet. Ken and Brian are great hosts and we all hope this meet continues year after year.

If you have never attended a live meet, this Summer is the perfect opportunity. There are several meets planned, but the most ambitious is this year's Internation in Mars, Pennsylvania. A website is in progress at

www.letterhead.com/meets/mars2002

It's a work in progress, so check back often for updates..Now is the time to get up off your best intentions and make plans to land in Mars this Summer. See you there!

Ken & Brian,
Thank you for hosting a really fine meet....I know how much work it is and I'm sure everyone who attended appreciates your efforts! Before you move this meet to Country Side, check and see if the ZZZZZZZZZZ's have; 1. a package store within 50', 2. two dunkin doughnuts within walking distance, 3. a bowling alley across the street, and 4. a bunch of great little resturants two blocks away. Mike and Jay are gonna have a tough time matching your location! hehe
I'm still BUMMED:{ that I missed Sat., I can't wait to see the pics!
Thanks again!

Joe, sorry I missed you. I am reposting one of the pics that Bob Gilliland put up on his pictures page because it is of significant importance to me, and a segue into my own thanks for Mass Mayhem.

I got a lot of appreciated praise for playing at the event. You don't know how much that means to me as this was my debut you might say. I have never played in front of a group before outside my own living room and the response was clearly encouraging. Playing live is worlds different than privately laying tracks into my computer where they can be endlessly tweaked and embellished. I was scared. During the performance I was conscious of many mistakes and certain that the sound system was way off. Spud who is far more experienced in these matters kept assuring me all was well and comment after comment from the audience reinforced it. All I can say is thanks Spud for holding my hand and thanks everyone for listening - even if you were just being kind - the reaction has emboldened me to get out and play more often. Bottom line is I had a blast!

Ken,

Thank you for the kudos. All I was tryin to do is keep an other wise bored Adrienne from going crazy. In case ya hadn't noticed, she was really bummed by not being able to attend. I couldn't have had a better time, unless I was there myself.

We really have to include thanks to Kathy who manned the keyboard a good bit of that time! And don't leave out Jillbeans and Fiddles.

I can't speak for the other ladies, but the pleasure was all mine!

Joe,

You were awesome! You and the Spudster make a great team! I'm glad you got over yourself and played! Remember, fear is just the wrapping paper on the gift, dude!

Dear Ken and Brian

What a great time. It's neat to see so many people from a considerable distance come to a "regional" meet. And no wonder. The food was great, the mood was super friendly and fun, and the music was a great surprise. I really enjoyed seeing so much great work. Ken, I hear you're opening up a nail salon too...

I can't wait till the next one.

Sincerely,
Bruce Deveau

A thousand Thank You's to both of you for putting on such a nice meet, also thanks to the wonderful people and businesses that donated their wares to the cause. Thanks to the people that helped me learn some new and or different ways of doing things. Most of all thanks for the renewed inspiration I have.

I am counting the days until next years mayhem meet.

Brian & Ken,

Add my name to the list of those saying Thanks! After meeting some of the southern “Brothers & Sisters of the Brush” recently, it was time to balance it out with the northern variety. Appreciated the opportunity to converse with many that have only been “cyber” to this point. And, I think it would be a tough job to convince people that Linda and Adrienne weren’t “physically” at the meet, Letterville is indeed an awesome tool! Clap of the hands to those ever important sponsors as well. Thanx all!

Hey Heads,
I do appreciate all the thanks, it is a bit of work to put it all together but the rewards are ten fold. I have officially past the riens over to Mike & Jay Zee and Mike tells me that he has a beautiful new building to host the meet next spring down in Reehobooth, MA.
Since Mike is not a Lettervillian I will keep you all posted. this is just the begining of New England Letterheads, I am sure it will end up back in Peabody someday and hope to get it out to Western Mass too. Maybe Chester or Gardner who knows....

Adrienne I was thinking the opposite a Letterville swimsuit calander [Eek!] [Eek!]
too bad we didnt have a camera at your end too.

Ken;
Thanks again, and reflecting back, thought it was a great success and am looking forward to your next one. However, I truly consider Mr. Cieslowski's absence a deficency in technical humor. He and Bill Clinton seem to be the only people on the planet who can turn a "Yes" or "No" question into a 50 page essay.

I really missed "Joe" and his Rapier sharp humor,(Political/Technical/Personal)
