today we had to change the phone # on my company truck, pulled numbers sprayed rapid remover as we usually do was waiting for it to take effect when lo and be hold i see runs in my gerber print just below where the numbers were, grabbed hose sprayed it down tooooooo late ,,took the color right out of it to the base color, was i amazed ?,you bet your bibbie i was,gee sure wish i had clear coated the print.
lesson #1 clear coat color prints
lesson #2 know what your doing before you do it.
lesson #3 let someone else do that stuff so when it messes up you can tell them how dumb they were instead of of you felling so stupid.
oh well all in a days learning.
just got to love it huh?
ge;o))

look at the bright side, at least it wasn't someone elses truck with graphics printed from files you don't have on equipment you don't have.

Now we will all be a little less likely to make that same error. Thanks

You should be able to sue SOMEONE for this travesty-
the pain and suffering, loss of marital contact, personal embarrassment, the door hurting your head when you repeatedly head-butted it...the list is endless.

on a serious note:
would the RR eat the clearcoat? Roger? Any ideas? [Confused]

From personal experience, I can tell you it will. The only thing that will hold up for an Edge print agains RR is a vinyl overlaminate.

Why, oh why, is the tuition to the School of Hard Knocks so high?!

I'm guessing that we all learned that lesson the hard way, at the "School of Hard Knocks". I can't remember how many times I've told staff to make sure they never spray that stuff near an edge printed graphic... and Glenn is 100% right... the only thing that will protect it from RR is a clear over laminate such as clear Vinyl. If you have the edge print near a gas Cap on the vehicle, well you should protect that area as a well... cause the gas will attack also. I did 4 large jobs this week on Vehicles and everyone of them has "Condoms" on the areas that need protection.

This is good to know!

I have a customer giving me a hard time in paying and his trailer was all done in edge prints.

Hey roger can you hook me up with a 5 gal pail and I high power pump?

Oh this would be fun!
