Hiya 'Heads,
Just wanted to let you know what's going on.
Fortunately, I haven't had to play my trump card.
The dealer called Monday and said that the service department has tried their best and there's nothing else they can do. Howerver, they're waiting to hear back from the manufacturer.
Tuesday morning, we contacted a lawyer that specializes in Lemon Law. He took our information but, stated that until it stalls again, there's nothing he can do.
An hour after speaking to the lawyer, the dealership's service department calls and informs us that they just recieved a 4 page fax from the manufacturer. It details what to do to locate the problem and how to possibly fix it. So, service wants to hold on to the truck for a few more days to try these "new" proceedures.
For now, we're going to accept that the dealer is trying to do everything possible to try to make this problem go away.
If the problem occurs again, the design goes on the truck and will be parked on a public road, right next to the only entrance to the dealership, the lawyer will be contacted and letters will start to fly.
Havin' fun,
Checkers
