USING THE DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE IN LIEU OF SEWING:
ANYBODY HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO KEEP THE BANNER FROM WRINKLING...ESPECIALLY ON THE LONG SIDES. TRYING TO GET IT ALL TO COME OUT FLAT SEEMS TO BE BEYOND ME!

It can be tricky, but I use the tape on nearly all my banners. I start by laying the banner out on a big table and put the tape along one raw edge. I squeegee the tape down and remove all the backing off the tape.

Then I start in the middle, folding over and squeegeeing, working out to the ends of the banner.

Good luck!

Bob...can you use the banner material that is already hemmed on the top and bottom?? That's what I use and it works great. You just cut between the grommet sections. Then add the tape only to the sides....and if it is reallllllly a temporary banner you don't even need to do that.

I'VE BEEN BUYING LARGE ROLLS OF UN-HEMMED MATERIAL
AND CUTTING, HEMMING WITH TAPE ALL AROUND, THEN ADDING GROMMETS. ALSO, WHEN PRINTING LARGE-FORMAT BANNERS, YOU HAVE TO DO YOUR OWN HEMMING AND GROMMETING.YOU COME OUT MUCH BETTER PRICE-WISE IF YOU DO THIS YOURSELF...SO, THE TAPE ALL AROUND IS MY ONLY ALTERNATIVE SINCE I'M NOT INTO SEWING MACHINES! THE "WRINKLE" PROBLEM IS THE ONLY HANG-UP.

I found that the time saved useing allready hemed and grommeted banner matterals was the real money saver over doing the tape and punching grommets my self (but i do when needed mostly on banner ends and on odd sizes) depending on the job. but i have also not found a way to make the tape hems look better.

to me time=$$$$$$
and i think the sewen hems make for a better looking and stronger banner
